Dominion Post In Husband’s Office
When Mr. Sydney Grtenbie takes up bis new post in Wellington as chief of the Office of War Information for New Zealand and special assistant ito the American ’ Minister, his wife will act under him as special consultant for the office. Mrs. Greenbie is an American writer and is the author of a number of books and a writer of verse. She is known in literary circles in America as Marjorie Barstow Greenbie. Her latest book, published last May and entitled “Lincoln’s Daughters of Mercy, is a story based on the background of the Red Cross and the army and navy nursing services originating in the American Civil War. Other books of hers are “The Arts of Leisure,” “The Art of Living in Wartime,” “American Saga” and “Mv Dear Lady.” Mrs. Greenbie was formerly on the faculty of Vassar and Mount Holyoke Colleges and holds the degree of Ph.D. from Yale University. She has taken an active part in a number of women's organizations, specially the League of' Women Voters, the. American ’Womens Voluntary Services and the Red Cross. Besides her literary work, she has also written extensively for American magazines. ,
