Occupation In Any Event WASHINGTON, August 17.
President Roosevelt. on his return from the Pacific, announced that the Allies would occupy Germany and Japan, even if they’ surrendered before their borders were crossed. He added that Germany would not escape the military occupation she had dodged by the Armistice of Hie lust war. Mr. Roosevelt said he knew nothing of internal trouble in Germany which could make us feel sure that the Nazi war machine would blow up soon. He called the Pacific campaigns, except Burma, an American major responsibility. because America’ was stronger than .Australia aud.New Zealand.
