ST. MALO CITADEL
All Resistance Ended (Received August IS, 11.45 p.m.) LONDON, August. 18. .All resistance by the Germans in the citadel at. St. Malo has ceased. Hitler has awarded General von Bloch, - commander of the St. Malo citadel. Oak i Leaves to Ihe Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. In a radio message to von Bloch, Hitler said : “Fight to the last bullet.. Each day you hold out is a gain in the battle against the invasion.”
