The truth about the OSLO BREAKFAST The Oslo Breakfast is not necessarily a breakfast. It is a simple health-meal which you can give your family for lunch or supper if you prefer. In Scandinavia the meal consisted of fresh salad, fruit, cheese, butter, milk and wholemeal bread. Wherever it was tried it produced better health and increased resistance to infection. It recommended that a portion of herring or kipper (or fish of similar nutritive value if the former unavailable) be included in the meal to supply sufficient vitamin D.
