MOST DANGEROUS DECADE

10 Years After The Wat PREDICTION BY MR. NASH

(By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright) (Received May 26, 10.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, May 26.

The New Zealand Minister to Washington, Mr. Nash, in a speech predicted that the 10 years after the war would be the most dangerous decade in human history, containing the greatest possibility for chaos and disaster and at the same time 'the greatest possibility for progress. He added, that mistakes made .then would take a century to wipe out. One of the greatest post-war problems would be to provide national and internal security for individuals. Men fighting in this war would never again be satisfied to depend on people or companies kind enough to give them jobs. They would deny anybody’s right to decide whether they would get jobs or not. They would claim jobs as their right. New Zealand had gone a long way to providing social security for its citizens, but could not hold these blessings unless other nations also provided social security.
