Employees In State Mines

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, February 21. The Greymouth Court house was crowded today for the Armed Forces Appeal Board’s hearing />f reviews of sine die adjournments of men employed in State mines arising from a go-slow policy. “Astounding” figures of the fall in output were submitted, and the board was asked.to adjudicate in that light. It was stated that the Director of National Service had asked that where the men were not working satisfactorily in the mines that the adjournment be struck It was stated on behalf of the enginedrivers that there was no go-slow and that they were working overtime. These appeals were adjourned sine die, lae board reserved its decision on most of the 136 appeals heard today. Decisions will be announced on Wednesday before the hearing of the remaining 163 cases.
