APANESE CABINET RESHUFFLE
To Meet War Developments
(Received February 21, 1.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, February 20. According to Tokio radio, the Prime Minister, General Tojo, has reshuffled his Cabinet to cope with an important phase both'in politics and the War.. The new appointees are Mr. Sotard Ishiwata, Finance Minister; Mr. Shinya Uchid, Agriculture and Commerce; and Mr. Keita Goto, Transportation and Communications. They replace Mr. Okinobu Kaya, Mr. Tatsunosuke Yamazaki, and Mr. Yoshiaki Hatta, who are relieved of their posts at their own request. Stressing the seriousness of the war situation for the Japanese homeland, Tokio official radio called on the people to .have faith in their navy, “which will not force itself into unnecessary battles but has a good fighting strategy for the final great victory.”
