CHILDREN IN BURNING TENT
One Dead, Two Injured iUy Telegraph.— Press Association » AUCKLAND, February 20. Three Maori children, one of whom later died, were admitted to Auckland Hospital suffering from burns received when a tent in which they were sleep-, ing at Clcvedon caught fire early this morning. The victims were: — DEAD. Miriam Hemopo, aged 2 years and 3 months. INJURED. Mana Hemopo, a boy aged 7 years and 11 months. Vera Hemopo, aged 6 years. The victims are the children of Mr. and Mrs.- Tom Hemopo. They were admitted to hospital at 2.30 n.m. suffering from burns to the face, hands and legs. Miriam died at about 5.30 p.m. The condition of the boy Mana is fairly serious, while that of bis sister Vera is not serious.
