AUCKLAND, February 18. A resolution urging the Minister of Rehabilitation to make a first essential of rehabilitation the provision of. houses for returned men and their families, and that the matter he treated as one ot vital urgency, was carried by the Auckland R.S.A. executive last night. Mr. A. P. Postlewaite. the chairman, said there were 715 applications fiom servicemen in the preference class for homes, most of them hardship cases. A ’number of wives of men who had been with the service had produced medical certificates showing .urgency and the genuineness of their cases. His association had explored all avenues in an effort to assist, but without result.
