PASSENGERS DELAYED
Electric Train Breaks Down
An interruption to the Johnsonville railway service occurred last night when the B.S p.m. multiple-unit from Wellington developed technical trouble and could proceed no further than the Wadestown crossing loop. A down train towed the crippled unit back to Wellington, and normal running was resumed at 9.23 p.m. Passengers stranded between Wellington and Johnsonville were taken to the city by a special bus. An accumulation of Friday night shoppers at Wellington necessitated the running of a four-car train instead of the usual two-car unit at 9.23 p.m.
