Allied Troopship Sunk In European Waters

WASHINGTON, February 17. The sinking of an Allied troopship m European waters with the loss of 1000 American soldiers is announced by the War Department. The announcement added tht approximately 1000 were rescued. Substantial numbers of Americans were- aboard the ship, which was lost at night.
