Handicaps For Peck Shield Race
The Peck Shield harbour race of 11 miles will be held this afternoon from the Hataitai Swimming Club's shed, commencing at 3 p.m. The course this year Is triangular. Commencing from the club s jetty competitors will -swim out toward the power house -in Kflbirnfe to a buoy placed level with the club's diving “dolphin, and then straight in and round in between the diving "dolphin” and the jetty, three times round. , . I Seventv-nine entries have been received, which includes 13 teams who will be swimming for the shield. Competitors are to bo Assembled at the club sheds by t.lo p.m. in order that the medical examination mnv be carried out expeditiously.
