EGMONT TO CARRY ON
The Egmont Racing Club decided yesterday to carry on with Its meeting scheduled for March 4 in spitt! of the restrictions on travelling. The programme has been amended and to meet the convenience of ow.ners and trainers, entries, which were to have closed today, will not now Close till February 25.
Throws to Nigger Minstrel. Blackwater, the two-year-old gelding by Tideraco from Florence Mills who had his first race experience at Woodville recently, is now losing his tubby appearance and shaping into .a good looking youngster. Ho has thrown to his dam’s sire, Nigger Minstrel, in colour and type and. is not unlike The Crooner, a useful Nigger Minstrel horse whose promising career was cut short through unsoundness.
