A recommendation that the Auckland Hospital Board should proceed at once with its major scheme for a chest hospital, sanatorium and preventorium is contained in a special report on accommodation for tuberculosis patients prepared by the board’s tuberculosis officer, Dr. C. McDowell. The report emphasizes the present lack of accommodation for certain classes of patients.
