Australia must assist to maintain the present meagre food ration, even if Australians have to make still greater food sacrifices, said Mr. Curtain today. After the Prime Minister's warning it was reevaled that the banning of icecream manufacture druing the winter '«* under consideration. This, it is estimated, would make available for Britain between 7000 and 8000 tons of butter. . Nutrition experts are examining the likely effect of a reduction in Australia’s Boz. butter ration.
