The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society bold a race from Waiouru last. Saturday. The birds were liberated at 11 a.tn. by the stationmaster, and, as weather conditions were favourable, fast velocities were r,worded. Results: T. Baxter and Son’s True Blue. 1112.5 yards a minute, 1; Taylor's and Bowie’s Little Jill, 1117.3, 2; F, Blair’s Franky, 1117.<15, 3: F. Couperß Freddy. 1110, I: J. A. Bock's Hotshot. Marvel 1115. 5: W. Thomas's Jack of Diamonds, 1113.6, 6.
