Patricia Marguerite McKenzie, factory hand, aged 22, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence within six months if called upon for stealing two pairs of silk stockings, the property of Edna Lovett. It was stated in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday that accused stole the stocklugs from the girl with whom she was occupying a room. As a result of a heavy draw-off of water during December and January, caused by au exceptional amount of hosing, many houses ou the higher levels of Lower Hutt had little or no water in the evenings, the engineer. Mr. H. R. Bach, reported to the Lower Hutt City Council last night.
