Woman Apparently Hit By Train
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 13. The severely mutilated body of a woman was found near the railway line between the Portage Road crossing ami New Lynn township shortly before 1 o’clock this, morning. Sh is believed to have been struck by the engine of a mixed goods train from Whangarei, which passed through New Lynn on Saturday night. She was Miss Myrtle Florence Alien; domestic, aged 4(5, of New Lynn. An object was noticed near the line ‘by the driver of a train which passed through New Lynn on the way to Swanson at 11.45 p.m. When the train returned at 12.50 a.in. the body was discovered. Pieces of a woman’s frock and flesh were found on the engine of the strain.-from. Whangarei.
