SPIES IN ARGENTINA
(Received February 13, 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, February 12. An indirect charge that Britain and America were also engaged in espionage activities in Argentina was made by the Presidential Secretary, Colonel Gonzalez, at a Press confeience, reports the New York “Herald-Tribune's” Buenos Aires correspondent. Colonel Gonzalez said the Argentina had been converted into a world espionage centre, where spies of all belligerent countries were active. Elaborating on Nazi espionage, Colonel Gonzalez said the number of spy arrests had reached alarming proportions.
