Guerrilla Bands In Greece

UNITED FRONT FORMED (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received February 11, 9.15 p.m.) CAIRO, February 10. Fighting between the Elas and the national bands under Colonel, Zervas in Greece has eeasefl, .according to a Greek Government official. This result was achieved after long negotiations through the mediation of the Greek Government and British General Headquarters, Middle East, who will do everything possible to bring the trouble to an end and reconcile all the guerrilla bands to co-ordinate their efforts against the Germans. A London report says that the cessation was attained following visits to Greece by British staff officers. The bands, which first opposed the enemy' side by side, were sundered by German propaganda work. It is stated that the united front against the enemy has been reformed, and that the guerrillas are expected to conclude a military agreement shortly.

The Stockholm “Aftonbladet” states that Sweden is adding four ships to a Red Cross fleet of 12 vessels which are at present carrying food to Greece.
