Wrapping Of Bread

Sir, —On reading an article in today’s “Dominion” on summer sickness which states, inter alia, “the cause is a germ which you have to eat to get it,” I was reminded' ot one of the most unhygienic foods, through unwrapped handling—we have to eat —-Bread. It is handled by all kinds of people many times and, unlike our other foods, w neither washed, cooked nor peeled. Nowadays one- does not even receive it wrapped from the shops. Surely if it is necessary to wrap and seal any food it should be bread first.—l am, etc*, GEBAME.
