NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the Manawatu Orona River Board will . be held on THURSDAY, MARCH 2, 1944, at 10.30 am., at the Board’s Office, 129 Kangitikei St., Palmerston North, to consider the following resolution: — , That in pursuance and exercise or the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926 and the Rivers Board Act 1908 and all other Acts and powers (If any), it in that behalf enabling the Manawa’tu Orona River Board hereby resolves by way of “Special Order”:— 1. That the Board proceed to raise a loan of £4OOO for the purpose of meeting the cost of Flood Damage Repairs and Spillway Construction. 2. That as provision for repayment of the said loan the Board issue fourteen (14) Debentures for the sum of £321/12/6 each one maturing each six months during the term of the loan, which has been fixed at seven years. « 3. That the security of the said loan shall be a special rate of 3d. (three pence) per acre on the whole of the ratable property in the Board area, which said rate is hereby appropriated to the above loan. , - ~ 4. That the interest on the said loan shall be at a rate not exceeding Three pounds ten shillings Tier centum per annum. 5.
