YACHTING REGATTA
The decision to resuscllate the Anniversary Day yachting regatta has proved so popular with yachtsmen that over 100 boats will take part in the events to be held in Evnus Bay on Saturday and Sunday next. A good entry from the Port Nicholson and Evans Bay clubs has been received for the cup for keelers; 34 for the Holmes Cup for Idle Alongs; eight for the Rona class; 16 for the Vernon-Grove Cup for the Takapuna Z class; 10 for the X, H aud N class; 16 for Taurangas; six for speedboats: and 35 for the Steel Memorial Shield tor centreboarders. The officials will be: Starters: Messrs, L. Robertaon aud H. M. Petherick and Lieutenant G. J. Stevenson; timekeepers, Messrs. G. H. Tanner and J. Brady; judges, Messrs. L. Robertson. A. G. Harvey and IT. Hardhain; measurers, Messrs. E. W. Hargreaves and W. Corrin; handicappers, Mr. Charles Lindsay (yachts) aud Lieutenant G. J, Stevenson (speedboats). Mr. It. K. Hayman, the secretary of the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor-boat Club, who will control the regatta, has all the -arrangements well In hand.
