RESULT OF ADVANCE PREPARATION

A meeting of the Australian War Cabinet will be attended by the New (Zealand Ministers tomorrow, when the •present and future co-operation between the two countries in the conduct of the war will be discussed. Meanwhile, with the conference agenda cleared up, expert staffs will prepare the agreement for formal signing on Friday. They will also work next week on formulating “machinery” points that are still undecided. The conference was expected to hold
daily sittings throughout this week, and the unexpected speed with which it completed the broad outline of its business has been largely the result of extensive preliminary arrangements which were made by the two Dominions etaffs ot experts. ' Following upon the conference, Mr. Fraser is expected to remain in Canberra to meet members of the Federal executive of the Australian Labour Party. Mr. Moohan, secretary of the New Zealand Labour Party, will attend a special meeting of the Australian executive. Mr. Jones is likely to return to New Zealand next week together with _ the advisory staff accompanying the Ministerial delegates, while Mr. Webb will remain for ■a period in Australia to investigate labour problems here.
