The Society of Dancing Teachers of New York has officially decided to recognize and teach jitterbug dancing—with a refinement. According to the “New iork Times,” gyrations, contortions, convulsions. crawlings, jumpings to-’sings. tumblings, wrigglings. mwaults and batteries, “which accompany the ji'r r';"" in its primeval state.” will be missing from the more refined movements «. the dance to be taught, which will be a combination of the jitterbug with its forerunner, the “Lindy.”
