A request for full wages to be paid to tramwavmen during illness for not more than 15 days in any one year, provided that such payment was nqt made for more than five consecutive days- illness, was the subject of further representations by tin' assessors of the Tramway M’orkers’ Union, to the Am Hand Transport Board this week. The request wns one of several claims made some time ago for belter working conditions to be incorporated in a proposed new industrial award. The board is giving consideration Io the imitter.
