PIGEON RACING
The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society opened its season’s racing on Saturday with a flock race from HuntorviJle, TO3 miles airline. There were ISo pigeons, representing 17 members, liberated iu dull weather with a south-west wind, which •was not too favourable for fast velocities. The first six placings for cup points were: J. Bock's iSpirit-o-Marvel. 1037.2 y-P-m.; •Hewward and Hoare’s Blue Boy, 1033.6; T. Baxter’s Contact, 1032.7: D. Paddison’s Flying ‘Spv, 1029.1; L. Falleni’s Gayest Son, 1025.5; A. Croskery’s Victory Lass, 1023.8.
