WASHINGTON, September 20.

Senator M. R. Tydings has introduced a joint resolution to grant immediate and full independence to the Philippines, says the United Press. The resolution is a move aimed at blocking the Japanese plans to give the Philippines a “phony”, independence, and has the approval of the White House.
