LONDON, September 24.
“I am convinced that there is full freedom of worship in Russia, and I have every reason to expect that it will, continue afte'r the war,” said the Archbishop of York in a statement in Moscow. ' He added: “Premier Stalin, being a great statesman, has recognized the power of religion. I have never experienced such huge congregations as in Moscow. There' are between 40 and 50 churches open and others are 'reopening. All propaganda •against religion will be discontinued.”
