Women's Place. At a meeting of the Women’s Study Circle held recently Airs. C. G. Scrimgeour, the speaker for the afternoon, spoke on woman’s place in the scheme of things. She held the opinion that woman’s rightful place was in the home, and felt concerned about the position they would occupy in the future, advocating that women’s and children’s economic position should be assured by family allowances. If this could be obtained it would allow women leisure to cultivate their higher faculties and enable them to take their rightful place with men to bring in a new world order.

Tips for Beekeepers. A talk on the life of the honey bee was given at a recent meeting of the Women’s Study Circle. The speaker, Mrs, M. Cook, gave detailed information on the construction of the beehive and the bees’ habits, which she had gained from practical experience. She outlined the duties of the queen bee, the process of producing honey,, and the different work of the inmates of the hive, mentioning how clean, methodical aud industrious they were. An interesting discussion followed, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker. Mrs. Webb, president, was in the chair.
