LIQUOR TRADE
Question To Mr. Fraser On Control “Has the Government a working policy lor the-control of the liquor trade?”, was a question asked of the Prime-Min-ister, Mr. Fraser,-, at the meeting at Hataitai which he addressed last night. Mr. Fraser answered that the Government had no scheme for the control of the liquor traffic, but if the people today decided that they wanted State control of the liquor traffic the Government would have to control it. There would have to be a scheme within a year, and similarly the Government would have to carry out the wishes of the people if they decided in favour of prohibition.
