WAR MAY END QUICKLY
BOSTON, September 22. The belief tlmt the end of the war will come as unexpectedly as other crises have come was expressed by the Duke of Windsor nt a Press Conference. The Duke recalled that in the first World War Marshal Petain declared that the Allies could not strike a decisive blow against Germany till 1919, whereas Germany collapsed in 191 S. The Duke endorsed Mr. Churchill's proposals for Anglo-American co-operation after the war and said that the wartime exchange of military personnel would go far to eliminate Anglo-American misunderstandings.
