TRIUMPH FOR JOHN HOGAN
The King George Theatre, Lower Hutt, was crowded last night with the largest and most enthusiastic audience of the campaign, to hear John Hogan. The extraordinary enthusiasm-from beginning to end of the meeting was not only a great personal tribute, but a clear indication of the overwhelming support the candidate is receiving from all sections of the community. The audience of over 1000 broke into loud cheers as soon as John Hogan appeared! on the platform, and the vote of thanks, and confidence was carried with only three dissentients in the huge crowd, after which the meeting concluded with the spontaneous singing of “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” Hutt is proving its determination to replace the sitting member with this young and vigorous representative.— Advt.
