£70,000 To University (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, September 21. The estate of tlie late Mr. William Evans has been sworn at £120,000 and it is estimated that: under many generous bequests Otago university will benefit to the extent of £70.000, 'i'he whole of file residue is bequeathed to it for investment, the income to be applied for flic promotion of education. Further sums of £5OO each are bequeathed to lhe Congregational Church. Moray Place, the Otago Hospital Board, Otago-Soutlilaiid Division of Cancer Campaign Society and the St. John Ambulance Centre, with smaller bequests to other public bodies.
