Seed-Sowing Demonstration Again Postponed The seed-sowing and CoimnUtee oV'tlm Dig'for Victory campX was again postponed yesterday because of the state of the soil after tlm recent heavy rain. The demonstration plot at the foot of Home Street m Kent Cnee, was made available for the campaign by the reserves committee ot the ’Wellington City Council. The demonstration will now take ph re at the plot on Friday next, between l-oO and 1.30 p.m.. and the public are requested to be present, at the gardening operations. which will be of interest not only to the comparative beginner but also to those who have been gardening for years. Questions arising from gardening Problems are invited and will be answered by experts. The Botanical Gardens will be the scene of compost-making activities on. October 9, and practical tips will be given the amateur gardener. About this time ten to twelve thousand tulips are expected to be in full bloom at the gardens.
