Mulheim Latest Target In Germany FIRES SEEN AT KREFELD LONDON, June 23. , Continuing the terrific series of onslaughts on Germany’s industries which have been carried out by the Allies almost without a break since Sunday night, heavy bombers of the Royal Air Force last night bombed Mulheim 1 0 miles from Essen. The attack was heavy and concentrated. Mulheim, with a population of 136,000, is a textile and fooddistributing centre on the River Ruhr. It is the principal traffic outlet between the Ruhr and southern Germany. Pilots report that during this raid they saw large fires still burning at Krefeld as a result of the previous night’s R.A.F. raid, and also at Buel, where Hitler’s biggest synthetic rubber producing factory was bombed by United States Flying Fortresses. This morning the air offensive from Britain is still going on. Watchers have seen waves of aircraft crossing the Channel and have heard bombs bursting on the French side. Algiers Headquarters announce that Wellington bombers again attacked objectives in Palermo, western Sicily, on Monday night.' During yesterday operations by the North-west African air forces were confined to routine patrols.
