OFFICERS ENTERTAINED
Victoria League Dance
The Victoria League Younger Contingent in Wellington entertained officers of both tlie New Zealand and American forces to II dnuee and party in the United Services Club on Saturday. A savoury supper was served, and there . was a large gathering ot guests, including the league president, Mrs. .1. A. Doctor, and Mrs. A. A. Cramond. Songs were given by Joan Vause and Glen Alncmorran and a "Moonlight. Cocktail” ballet was danced by Shona Bennetts, Merle Stewart, Moira Wicks and Gwynncth Jones. Two Maori action songs were sung in costume It is intended to hold similar parties every three weeks. The executive committee for this activity is Mrs. B. McKinlay (Younger Contingent leader). Misses Mnreelle Haughey. Valmai Cramond. Evelyn Mncfarlane and Dawn Mazengarb. Others helping with arrangements on Saturday night were Mesdames R. Bale and A. McKinnon, Misses Betty Menard, Noelinc Cramond. Joan Vause. Glen Macmorran. Joan Wilson, Nell Kendall. Gwynueth Jones.
