RONGOTAI COLLEGE
At the annual meeting of the Hongotai Boys’ College Parents’ Association recently it was decided to seek an assurance from the Government that if the college was removed from ito, present location as a result of tlie possible expansion of the airport, it would not be removed from the eastern suburbs. Tt was also resolved to ask for the establishment of a resident caretaker for the school. ' ~ The principal of the college. Air. I<. Martyn Tlonncr, addressed the parents on “The' Child, the Heir of All the Ages,’ and emphasized the necessity- for preparing the child for a future of service to his fellows. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. G. W. Knapp; vice-presi-dents. Mrs. Buchanan, Messrs. S. Harris nnd C. Dykes; lion.’secretary, Mr. A. I. Duurloo; hon. treasurer, Mr. A. E. Wixon; auditor, Mr. K. Menzies; committee, Mesdames Smith. Hutson, Martin, Munro. Fox, Meadows. Christie, Pollock and Walker: Messrs. Tonkin. Dalgleish, Shennan, Pollock. Munro and Bryant.
