Victory Congratulations To Gen. MacArthur
The Prime Minister, Mr. Eraser, has sent the following telegram to the Prim" Minister of Australia, Mr. Curtin “Will you please convey to General MacArthur on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand a message or warmest congratulations on.the decisive victory of his forces in the Bismarck Sea. This action has undoubtedly contributed in considerable measure toward the lessening of the immediate menace threatening Australia and New Zealand, and is an important step toward victory in trie Pacific.”
