ALLIED USE OF DAKAR
Discussions Proceeding (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 2. The Foreign Secretary informed the House of Commons today that discussions were in progress between the High Commissioner for French West Africa and the United States authorities at Algiers regarding the use of the port of Dakar and of other facilities in West Africa. Replying to a question regarding the release of Free French prisoners from African territories, he said that everything possible was being done, and he believed many had already been released. It is announced in London that M. Yves Chataigneau, the French Minister at Kabul, Afghanistan, has sent bis resignation to . the Vichy Government and placed his services -at the disposal of General de Gaulle.
