Vice-Regal. Government House. Wellington. December 3. His Excellency the GovernorGeneral presided at a meeting of the Executive Council this morning. This afternoon their Excellencies the Governor-General and Lady Newall viwited the Sacred Heart Convent, Mund Bay, where his Excellency presented a Union Jack to the Convent on behalf of the Navy I-eague. Captain H. G. Helmore was in attendance. This evening, his Excellency, attended by Captain Helmore, left Wellington for Auckland.
Sir Donald MeGavin has returned to Wellington from Auckland. Mr. H. A. Beauchamp, who lias been on a visit to Australia, has returned to Wellington. Mr. G. J. Bertinshaw. chief engineer of tho Railways Department, is at present in Auckland. Mr. AV. H. Cocker, president of Auckland University College, is visiting Wellington. Messrs. D. W. S. Gendall (Wellington) and L. J. It. Benjamin and 11. 11. Saunders (Lower Hutt) have been admitted to .membership of the New Zealand Society of Accountants with the status of A.R.A.N.Z. (Associate Registered Accountant). Messrs. I. T. Cook and A. L. McLean (Wellington) have been granted the status of F.I’.A.N.Z. (Fellow Public Accountant) in the New Zealand Society of Accountants. The status of F.R.A.N.Z. (Fellow Registered Accountant) has been granted to Messrs. It, s. Melnnes and w. G. Rodger (Wellington).
