BED IN RAID SHELTER
Blankets, clothing and bedding were discovered in an air raid shelter on the corner of Cambridge ’l'erraee and Buckle Street by the police when (hey inspected it lifter aiTesling Thomas Henry Blundell, carpenter, aged 3-1, on a charge of being without visible means of support. Blundell stated that he had gained entrance by unlocking the door with a key in his possession .which happened to tit the lock. He hail slept there for some time.
'L'il.l six weeks ago Blundell was employed by the military authorities at Fort Dorset, said Senior-Sergeant T. Campagnolo, in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday. He had not worked since, and had only threepence when arrested. He was in a filthy condition. Mr. Stout, S.M., sentenced accused to one month’s hard labour.
