Business For July Decision to apply to the Price Tribunal for authority to retail milk at the rate of 7d. a quart for the rest of the current trading year was made by the Wellington City' Council last night. Debates granted to wholesale customers will be cancelled throughout the winter buying? season. Milk sales for July averaged 10.011 gallons daily, compared with 8081 gallons daily for the corresponding month of 1941, an increase of 1930 gallons daily, equal to 23.87 per cent. Cream sales for July totalled 5<,189 pints, compared with 49,237 pints for the corresponding month of 1941, an increase of 7952 pints, or 10.20 per cent. Milk sales to nearby farmers for the month of July totalled 8445 gallons, averaging ’272 gallons daily, compared with a total of 12.867 gallons, averaging 415 gallons daily for the corresponding month of 1941. The decrease is 4422 gallons, or 34.36 per cent.
