Buses and taxis crossed the new Waterloo Bridge for the first time yesterday, when two traffic lines were opened from each direction. The bridge will have six lines of traffic when it is completed. One hundred workmen who went on with the building throughout the blitz toasted the bridge with three barrels of beer.
