ONE-SIDED BOXING
Rayner Too Rugged For Dunn In a professional lightweight boxing contest over 12 rounds in the Wellington Town Hall last night, Clarrle Rayner (Marlborough), 9.9 J, proved too rugged and clever for Henry Dunn (Wellington), 9.10 J. So quiet were the opening stages that a wag called out at the end of the fourth round. “When is the fight going to start?" This caused them to warm up in the next round, Rayner having the better of some willing exchanges. It was all Rayner after this, and his nippy left-hooks hail Dunn’s face well marked in the closing rounds.
