RUSSIAN SUPPLIES TO CHINA

Recently-Built Highway CHUNGKING, July 17. Chungking is receiving war supplies from Russia over a 2800-inile highway constructed mostly in the last five years. An air communique from New Delhi states that; R.A.F. bombers attacked Kaiewa in Upper Burma on Wednesday, and dropped bombs on tlie centre of the town. A low-flying attack was made on barges at Kollmyo. Yesterday Blenheims bombed the 'dockyard and attacked huts on Oyster Island with machinegun lire. All the planes returned.
