The Wellington Hospital Board advised that in view of extra work in connexion with the Otaki Beach Hospital, its grant would be increased to £2OOO. Increase In Work. 'During June, 1941. the calls on ithe service numbered 1508, but those for the month just ended totalled 1807.’ Of the latter 1528 were from Wellington city and its immediate surroundings, S2 were from Hutt City, 47 were from iPetone, 38 were from Otaki, 34 from and to IPorirua, and 14 from Eastbourne. Tlie honorary staff rendered 130 (hours’ duty during the month. '
