GIFT OF COURAGE
Talk To League Of Mothers’ Committee Mrs. H. H. Cornish, who presided over the November meeting of the provincial committee of the League of Mothers, referred to Dr Bryson’s book, “Learning to Live,” in which the writer said that the first gift she would have for her daughter would be courage. Today, said Mrs. Cornish, it was a gift needed for all, for it took a tremendous amount of courage to stand up to things. The/ speaker concluded with a message of hope conveyed in the lines of Gerald Massey’s “Hope On, Hope Ever.” A welcome was extended to all present and specially to new officers, and to representatives from distant branches. The war work secretary reported that a good supply of wool was available and that the knitting handed in by the branches was of a high standard. Clothing bad been dispatched through the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild and It was hoped to make the uext box entirely of children’s goods aud that it would be ready immediately after the holidays. At the conclusion of the meeting, Mrs. Charles White, on behalf of those present, voiced appreciation of Mrs. Cornish’s able chairmanship and of her help at all times.
