Golden Dawn Report Golden Dawn Gold Mines, Ltd., report-,., for the week ending November lo:— Drive south on No. 5 reet, No. 4 level, from winze, has been extended 11 ieet, total 41 feet. The reef is from 2 to o feet wide. It has been in oxidized country, and is of low value, and is now in harder blue country. N.Z. Breweries Dividend The directors of New Zealand Brewer-. ies Ltd., have declared an interim dividend of 3i per cent, for the half year ended September, 30. Transfer books will be closed from November 28 to December 11, both dates inclusive. Gold Mining Returns The Maori Gold return totalled 460 z. lOdwt. for 100 hours from 8500 yards. Dredging has been stopped by the breaking of a pin which is expected to take 48 hours to replace. The Austral-New Zealand dredge, tor the 14 days ended midnight on_Noyember 15, returned '558 ounces for 259 hours. Wellington Poultry Prices Prices of live poultry in the Wellington markets on Thursday are quoted by Townsend and Paul, Ltd., as follows: Spring chickens, good inquiry: Prices according to size. _ White Leghorns, hens, o/- to 5/- each, cockerels, 1/3 to 1/6 lb., pullets (best),, 6/- to 10/- each, (others), 4/to 6/-. Black Orpingtons: Hens (heavy), 6/- to 10/- each, medium, 3/- to 6/-, cockerels (heavy), 1/to l/41b„ medium, 1/- to 1/4; Rhode Island Reds: Cockerels (heavy), 1/- to 1/4. Ducks: Indian Runner, young, 6/- to 10/-eaeb, old, 3/- to 6/-: white, young, 7/- to 10/-, old, 6/- to 9/-. Geese: 6/- to 8/- each. Turkeys: 1/2 to 1/6 lb.

Canterbury Produce Markets (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 21. There is so little ‘business in the gram and produce markets that trade, is almost at a standstill. Potatoes are almost unprocurable throughout Canterbury and seed potatoes are reported to have been sold for table use. The price to any grower who has table potatoes -eft is about £2O a ton. , . Stocks of most other lines are almost as bare as those of potatoes. The new season, which will not begin until about the end of January, will open to almost bare boards. Not for many years has there been such a complete clean up oi stocks in most lines.
