Methodist Synod Approval

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 21. Approval of the movement toward union of the Presbyterian, Congregational, and Methodist Churches of NewZealand was expressed by the North Canterbury Methodist Synod. . The following motions were passed: ‘‘That this synod again expresses its confidence that union of the Presbyterian, Congregational, and Methodist Churches of New Zealand would be for the glory of God and more, effective promotion of their work in the community, and without expressing an opinion upon the basis to be submitted first to conference, trusts that such union will be attained in the near future.” .. . “That it be a recommendation to conference that the basis be submitted not onlv to synods, but also to the September quarterly meetings and that voting thereat (for, against and neutral) be reported to synods.”
